about jared
Jared was born and raised in DFW. After graduating from Grapevine High School, he attended the University of North Texas, where he studied philosophy, history, and English. During his time at UNT, he fell in love with campus ministry and his wife, Melissa. After graduating from UNT, Jared went on to earn a MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary (Texas Campus) and a MA in humanities from the University of Dallas. Finally, Jared earned a PhD in Biblical and theological studies (New Testament) from Wheaton College. His dissertation is titled, The Meaning and Function of “the Obedience of Faith” in Romans.
Jared has worked as a youth pastor, a teacher and coach at a Christian classical school, and as a pastoral intern at Grace Community Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Fort Worth. He has also taught at Wheaton College and Mid-America Reformed Seminary. Most recently, he has served as the Director of Greystone Fort Worth/Dallas and an Instructor in Biblical Languages for Greystone Theological Institute. He has also worked as an account manager at a staffing firm and as the Supervisor of Contracts and Documents at a medical company.
Jared and Melissa have enjoyed 23 years of marriage. They have two children, Calvin and Adeline. Jared enjoys reading, playing games, watching movies and sports, and working out.
