about joel
Joel is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. He was called to the ministry at 18. He received his B.A. in Sociology from South Carolina State University and his M.Div. from LAMP Theological Seminary. His wife, Latifahia, is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. She received her B.S. in Biology from Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina, and her master’s in education from the University of Tennessee. She is the author of her book, “Vision Journal: A New Way to Do Vision Boards.” The Browns have been married for 16 years and are members of New City Fellowship in Orangeburg, SC. They have three incredible children: Alex, 11; Olivia,8; and Liam, 5. As a family, their calling, goal, and desires are driven by these two Scriptures:
