I was born and raised in Texas, and I am a graduate of Texas A&M, and Westminster Seminary - Philadelphia. I started RUF at Rice University in 1999. I planted and pastored Hope Presbyterian Church - Portland, OR from 2007-2014, and I have been an Area Coordinator since 2014.

In my role as Western Area Coordinator I shepherd and coach campus ministers and staff, and work with Presbyteries, churches, and individuals as a consultant to start and maintain campus works in my geographical area.

I married Ashley in 1997. Still married to her and have three adult children: Mary, Anna, and James. We live in Portland, OR.
