ABOUT JACOB

Jacob Virtue grew up in St. Louis, MO, and felt called to ministry from a young age. He graduated from Missouri Baptist University (BA) and later from Covenant Theological Seminary (MDiv). During Seminary, he was the Student Minister at First Baptist Church of Crestwood. College was a turning point in Jacob’s faith. During a season of spiritual crisis, the Lord met him in deep and lasting ways. That experience shaped his desire to walk with students through their own seasons of doubt, growth, and faith.

After seminary, Jacob and his wife, Kaitlyn, moved to Greenville, SC, where he served in youth ministry for five years at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church. He’s also spoken at retreats for middle school, high school, and college students. Jacob loves playing soccer, reading good books, throwing down a game of garage washers, and having honest conversations about Jesus. He and Kaitlyn have two wonderful kids, Flora and James Shepherd, and a lovable dog named Graham.
