Mattie grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana and attended the University of Connecticut. She graduated in 2024 with a BS in Pharmacy Studies and a minor in Spanish. It was at UConn where she discovered RUF and immediately grew to love the organization. Some things she loves are sports, her dogs, and traveling.
