about MATTHEW

Matthew Berry is a graduate of Winthrop University with a Bachelor's degree in English. For the majority of his life, he was homeschooled alongside his many, many siblings. As the fifth child, he has been able to see how RUF has been a blessing in his older siblings' lives. As a student at Winthrop, RUF greatly benefited him in his faith and ability to connect with a larger community of believers.

Despite having lived in Rock Hill (Rock Thrill, as we like to call it) his whole life, Matthew is excited to move to Statesboro and serve as an intern at Georgia Southern University. Just as RUF was a blessing to him, Matthew hopes that he can be a blessing to students with his time working as an intern.

As for what he enjoys doing in his free time, the list could go on and on. Matthew enjoys spending time with any and all of his seven siblings, reading, writing, hiking, camping, playing board/card/video games, watching tv shows and movies, and eating good food. When possible, Matthew loves to be able to do all of these things with friends because he thinks life is so much better when done together. He thinks that one of the best ways to get to know people is by sitting done and playing a game with them, so he is curious to see if that will hold true once he gets to campus.
