Mary Ellen graduated from Louisiana State University in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Social Work. She was a part of RUF for four years at LSU, and it is there where she fell in love with this ministry. Mary Ellen was the intern at Carson-Newman University for two years in Jefferson City, Tennessee. Sharing the gospel with college students and meeting with the women there solidified her calling to be a counselor. She believes that theology and psychology must be held together, which is why she is attending Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri to get her Master of Arts in Counseling. While in seminary she will work part-time for RUF as a Ministry Fellow providing care for women across the country who are doing the RUF Internship.
