about JAY

Jay hails from Hyderabad, India. Raised in a wealthy Hindu family, he had everything one could ask for, but none of it brought him joy. At the age of 15, Jay began to feel the need for God in his life. During this time, his mother introduced him to Hinduism, and he quickly embraced the faith. Jay diligently adhered to its teachings by living an austere life, observing rituals, and even residing in a temple with monks. He strove to fulfill the demands of Hindu law, but after four long years, Jay realized he could not attain “perfection” due to his human flaws. This is when Jesus entered his life.

Jay experienced the love of God through Christ’s death on the cross for his sins. God saved him from the yoke of slavery and gave him freedom from sin and death. Soon after, God saved Jay’s mother through him.

In his senior year at Baylor, God called Jay to pursue international student ministry with RUF. As an international student himself, Jay understands the challenges of living abroad, navigating a new culture, and speaking a different language. God has instilled in Jay a strong desire to love others as himself and has equipped him to serve this ministry through his unique life experiences, language skills, and deep commitment to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the nations.
