ABOUT chris

Chris has been serving as an Area Coordinator for RUF-International since 2020. In his role, he has the privilege of shepherding and coaching ministry staff, working alongside presbyteries, and starting new RUF-I campuses. Prior to serving as an Area Coordinator, he launched RUF-International at SMU in 2014.

Chris studied Economics and Spanish at Vanderbilt University. Upon graduating, he returned to Dallas, TX, and spent a couple of years in commercial real estate before sensing a call to ministry. He began his ministry career at Mercy Street and then spent three years doing campus ministry with MTW in Asia. He once again returned to Dallas, where he completed his Master of Divinity at Redeemer Seminary.

Chris met his wife, Sarah, while trying to find a campus ministry event, which she happened to be heading to, as well, the first week of their freshman year at Vanderbilt. They got married in 2004 and have four wonderful and very active children: Haynes (2011), Ellie Grace (2015), Sammy (2017), and John David (2019). Chris loves learning about other cultures by making friends from all over the world and enjoys any chance to try food from around the globe.
