about charlie

Charlie was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. He studied music performance and creative writing at Northwestern University, and afterward served as an RUF intern at Purdue University in Indiana. While he was an intern, he met his wife, Noemi, a Houston native who was serving as an RUF intern at Virginia Tech. In 2018 they moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where Charlie attended Reformed Theological Seminary, and in 2022 they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to meet and love the students at UNM with the love they have received from Jesus. Charlie is very excited to be in a land with wind, mountains, and an unimpeded horizon. In his free time he likes to listen to music, read, write, lift weights, or just sit outside and think about stuff. He’s a bit hard of hearing, so don’t be offended if he asks you to repeat yourself.
